The grant proposal and associated institutional review board application presented here represent the culminating assignment in the course on grant writing. The proposal was written for the Institute for Educational Sciences (IES) grant competition in the category of Early Learning Programs and Policies. It was not submitted to IES due to the extensive nature of the proposed project and Ms. Hubbell's desire to explore other areas of research before committing to such a project. |

The two short papers presented here were written for a course about providing services to young children with disabilities in their natural environments. They include instructor comments and grading. The first paper describes a re-conceptualization of early childhood service delivery and includes a detailed diagram. The second paper explores the relationship between a specific theory of engagement and several other theories about child development. |

As part of a qualitative research methods course, Ms. Hubbell designed and conducted a mini qualitative study about early childhood educators perspectives of engagement. The resulting qualitative paper describes the study and analysis of the findings. Additionally, the interview transcripts are provided. |
